Checklist for Company Registration & Residency in Serbia

This checklist provides a step-by-step guide for foreign nationals planning to register a business and apply for a temporary residence permit in Serbia. Use this to track your progress and ensure all requirements are met.

Part 1: Company / Sole Entrepreneur Registration

Passport Copy: A clear, scanned copy of the valid passport for all founders and directors.
Business Name: Three proposed names for your company or sole proprietorship, in order of preference.
Business Activities: A description of the primary activity of your business.
Registered Address: A physical address in Serbia for your business. (SEECAP can assist with this service).
Power of Attorney (POA): A notarized POA is required if we are registering on your behalf. (SEECAP will draft this document for you).

Part 2: Temporary Residence & Work Permit Application

Valid Passport: Original passport must be presented, with at least 6 months of validity remaining.
Long-Stay Visa (Visa D): Required for nationals of many countries before entering Serbia to apply for residency. Check requirements for your nationality.
Passport Photos: Two recent, standard passport-sized photographs.
Proof of Accommodation: A signed rental agreement or property ownership certificate (title deed) for your residence in Serbia.
Proof of Health Insurance: A valid health insurance policy covering you in Serbia for the duration of your intended stay.
Proof of Sufficient Funds: A recent bank statement showing sufficient funds to support your living expenses in Serbia.
Business Registration Certificate: The official excerpt from the Serbian Business Registers Agency (APR) for your newly formed entity. (SEECAP provides this upon successful registration).
Application Fees: Government administrative fees for the permit applications.

Important: You must be physically present in Serbia to submit your personal application for a temporary residence permit. SEECAP can handle the business registration remotely on your behalf but will guide and assist you with the personal application once you arrive.
